After completing her A Level Education from Rato Bangala School, she went to USA and joined University of North Alabama for her higher education from where she got her bachelor’s degree in Film Making. In 2007, while she was still studying at University of North Alabama, she went on to participate in Miss International UNA beauty contest in which she was able to reach to the top 5 Finalists. After completing her education in 2011, she decided to return to Nepal and use her knowledge in Nepali film industry.
She got a break in Kollywood from the movie- ‘Mero Best Friend’ but ‘3 Lovers’ was the first released movie of Priyanka as the release date of Mero Best Friend got postponed. Although Mero Best Friend was not a commercial success, Priyanka was nominated for Popular Debutant Actor Female in Filmy Khabar Awards 2070. She had to wait till the release of Jholey to establish herself as the successful Nepali actress. Her success continued with the Mega Hit Movie of 2070- Nai Navannu La 2.
